ContinYou - Changing lives through learning
ContinYou aims to open up opportunities for learning that will help people to change their lives, improving the well-being of individuals, families and communities.

Welcome to the Share family area

Why take part in Share?

Share is an exciting programme for parents who want to help their child learn. By doing Share with your child you will be helping them to practise and get better at the things they learn at school or in the community. You will also be a good role model showing your child how important learning is for everyone and how learning can be fun.

You don’t need to have special skills or qualifications to do Share with your child. You do need:

  • enthusiasm
  • time to attend the Share group sessions
  • time with your child

It is important that you and your child talk together about how you want to spend you Share time:

  • When will you do Share?
  • How long will you spend on Share each week?
  • Who might help with Share?

Some families make up ‘Learning together’ rules to help make Share time special. Share learning activities are fun to do and easy to set up. You and your child can choose which activities you want to do.

Your Share practitioner will help you to:

  • understand how the Share activities link to school learning
  • adapt the Share activities to suit the learning needs of your child
  • earn nationally recognised credits for working with your child - find out more by visiting our accreditation page.

Parents and children around the country (and world!) have enjoyed learning together through Share.

Inclusive activities

Share uses a fully inclusive and practical ‘hands-on’ approach to involving parents/carers in their children’s learning and development, and increasing their understanding of the role they play. All Share activities can be modified or extended for use in a variety of different settings and with children at differentiated levels.

Parents of children with SEN will find the team's Parents' page (PDF, 35 KB) useful. This offers guidance for creating a personal learning experience for your child.
