Welcome to OwnZone – a new and exciting daily programme of after school care and learning activities that puts young people at the heart of what you offer.

If you want to extend your after school activities and develop suitable care provision for your pupils, OwnZone is the solution you are looking for.

ContinYou has helped schools across the UK set up and run OwnZone clubs that show young people the fun they can have by staying on after school finishes. 

OwnZone has been designed for students aged 11-14 years, but you can adapt the model to suit the age group of your pupils.

ContinYou would like to acknowledge the support and advice provided by the schools, external providers and the local authority of Carmarthenshire, Wales. Their willingness to share their opnions and experiences of developing OwnZone, have provided an invaluable contribution to many aspects of the resource pack.

What is OwnZone?

OwnZone is a regular, safe place for young people to go after school where they can relax with friends, receive support with homework or develop new skills and interests.

OwnZone offers parents and carers peace of mind that their children are being cared for in a structured and supportive environment, that is designed to meet the needs of their young people.

It is usually delivered on the school site and is based around three Zones:

• ChillZone
• SkillZone
• LearnZone.
