Training and resources
The NRC produces a termly Bulletin and various resources for supplementary schools. If you join today and become a member of the NRC, this will give you access to more resources, such as our How to guides.
We also offer training for anyone working in or with supplementary schools, or anyone interested in setting up a supplementary school. Training is usually offered on demand, but we also occasionally arrange one-day seminars. Visit our training and events page for more information.
You can also read about some external training providers which may be of interest.

Policy map
It is now widely acknowledged that supplementary schools can make a valuable contribution to a number of educational objectives, such as raising the achievement of minority ethnic pupils.
However, fewer people realise that supplementary education can also improve outcomes for children, young people, families and communities in a range of other ways.
This online resorce will help you to understand the important role that supplementary education plays in many different policy areas.
Arts and diversity
The Arts Council England and the NRC have worked in partnership to research arts and diversity in supplementary schools.

The Learning Exchange
Supplementary schools are, effectively, part of the range of extended services to which mainstream schools can signpost their pupils. Membership of the Learning Exchange therefore offers supplementary school staff strong benefits in building their relationships with mainstream schools.
