Cook and Eat Well
What is it?
Cook and Eat Well in Coventry is all about cooking and eating healthy, delicious food, in a fun and friendly environment.
Coventry citizens can get involved by taking part in a variety of cooking sessions, such as:
- cooking for mums-to-be
- packed lunch sessions at schools
- breakfast sessions for parents and pre-schoolers
- half day cookery workshops.
All of these sessions are free, and take place in various locations around the city. Visit the Cook and Eat Well website to book a place. You can also download recipes and find out more about the project from the Cook and Eat Well website: www.cookandeatwell.co.uk.

ContinYou’s role
ContinYou is managing a special part of the Cook and Eat Well project: Community Food Champions.
Community Food Champions run cooking clubs in their local areas. They don’t need any formal qualifications; just lots of enthusiasm - for cooking healthy food, working with others and sharing skills.
Community Food Champions attend a free one-day training session on how to run a cooking club, covering topics such as hygiene, equipment, healthy eating and recipes. They also receive resources including posters, leaflets and a toolkit.
For more information about Community Food Champions, including how to become one, please visit the Cook and Eat Well website or contact Claire Jaggers.
Partners
Cook and Eat Well in Coventry is funded by the Coventry Health Improvement Programme (CHIP), and is delivered by Groundwork West Midlands, ContinYou and partner organisations.
