National Breakfast Club Survey
Breakfast Club Plus is dedicated to the sustainable development of breakfast clubs across the whole of the UK. Our experience of working with schools and other community providers of clubs has highlighted the value of sharing practice, resources and knowledge as widely as possible. With this in mind, and through the continued support of Kellogg’s, we are working to increase our intelligence of current provision by launching the UK's first ever national breakfast club survey.
ContinYou will be working with our strategic contacts in children services and health to undertake this unique survey of breakfast clubs. By mapping breakfast club provision through the survey we will be in a better position to ensure that:
- our free advice and support for schools and community settings reaches those who will benefit from it
- schools and communities are aware of the funding that we have available through our master class grant programme and national awards scheme
- we are able to disseminate best practice and provide an opportunity for clubs all over the UK to share 'new ideas' and 'what works well'
- we can better support enquiry about provision from local, regional and national partners
- we can demonstrate the demand for, interest in and benefits of breakfast clubs to policy-makers and funders
What will happen to the existing Breakfast Club Plus register?
The current voluntary breakfast club register will no longer exist. However, we will be contacting all clubs on the register to seek confirmation that clubs are still in existence and this information will be integrated into the survey.
