ContinYou - Changing lives through learning
ContinYou aims to open up opportunities for learning that will help people to change their lives, improving the well-being of individuals, families and communities.

Seeds, soup and sarnies

From September 2009 for the next three years ContinYou will work as one of the key partners with the Eden Project, along with Cornwall and Middlesbrough local authorities to develop a new and exciting initiative called Seeds, Soup and Sarnies.

The project will work with families within the two local authorities to develop their skills and knowledge around small scale growing of fruit and vegetables supporting healthy food choices and food preparation.

ContinYou will specifically support the learning outcomes for 180 families in the Middlesbrough area over the coming three years. Evaluation, support and knowledge will be shared through the Eden Project, linking the learning, environmental and people outcomes across the two key areas of the project in Cornwall and Middlesbrough.

Families will work together to ‘learn to grow their own’. Sharing knowledge of what to grow, when to plant and how to use the produce through food preparation and healthy eating.
