The Advisory Centre for Education (ACE) is an independent national advice centre for parents. It works for an education system which supports all children and promotes the active involvement of parents in their children's education. It aims to provide the information, support and high quality legal advice that parents need to help their children at school particularly when there are problems.

Anti-Bullying Alliance
The Anti Bullying Alliance aims to raise the profile of bullying by making sure that adults who work with children are aware of the serious effect bullying has on children and feel equipped to deal with any bullying incidents they may encounter. Centre for Fun and Families
The Centre for Fun and Families is a national voluntary organisation which assists families where parents are experiencing behaviour and communication difficulties with their children and teenagers. The centre aims to offer practical help to parents with children of all ages through the national promotion and formation of group work programmes.

Children's Centres
Together for Children is working in partnership with the Department for Children, Schools and Families to support local authorities in their delivery of 2500 Sure Start Children's Centres across England by 2008. The website is an interactive, one-stop shop for local authorities and provides resources, tools, guidance, best practice and communities of interest.

Extended services in rural settings
The Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) has collated some resources for rural school and their local authorities, which can be found at www.tda.gov.uk/rural. Fathers Direct is the UK's national information centre on fatherhood, which specialises in providing information on social work, family policy, business development and communications. Funky Dragon / Mae'r Ddraig Ffynci
Funky Dragon aims to give under-25 year olds the opportunity to get their voices heard on issues that affect them. Its main priority is to ensure that the views of children and young people are heard, particularly by the Welsh Assembly Government, and to support participation in decision-making at national level. The site is aimed both at young people themselves and those who work with young people.

Pre-school Learning Alliance
The Pre-school Learning Alliance is a leading educational charity specialising in early years education. It launched materials to support the development of partnership working between pre-schools and extended schools. The pack consists of a number of factsheets providing information and advice for schools on setting up pre-school services, and the Alliance is planning to offer a consultancy service for schools and local authorities. The organisation is also piloting a new `partnership constitution' which gives schools a more formalised input into the management of charitably-constituted pre-schools. If successful it is hoped that this will be rolled out more widely later in the year

Save the Children - Help Yourselves initiative
Help Yourselves offers support to those who wish to get more involved in their neighbourhood. Created by Save the Children and British Gas, it gives young people in Britain the chance to develop local projects and speak out on issues that affect them. The site contains funding information, tips on how to start a project and success stories from other communities.

Schools Out
School's Out aims to provide both a formal and informal support network for all lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people in education and also to research, debate and stimulate curriculum development on issues of sexuality. Time for Citizenship
This website is run by a group of primary schools in the UK and Europe, led by St John Fisher Primary School, who have been working together to create a free website for primary schools on citizenship since 1999. Registration allows schools to download and submit lesson plans, and enter competitions.
