New Deal for Communities

New Deal for Communities (NDC) is a government programme that supports the regeneration of 39 deprived areas across England. Among other things, the programme focuses on tackling educational underachievement, increasing people's job prospects, reducing crime and improving the physical environment.

NDC funds can be used to support local supplementary schools in closing the achievement gap, particularly in partnership with extended schools.
