ContinYou supports bids to the Healthy Community Challenge Fund

As you may be aware, DCSFand DH have launched the Healthy Community Challenge Fund, which aims to test and evaluate different approaches to making regular physical activity and healthy food choices easier for local communities. Up to £5 million is available for local areas over three years to establish Healthy Towns. To take part in this programme, expressions of interest need to be jointly submitted by the Local Authority and Primary Care Trust by 11 July. ContinYou offers a range of programmes that could support Las and PCTs with their bid to become a Healthy Town:

  • Breakfast Club Plus
  • What's Cooking?
  • Skilled for Health
  • Healthy Share

We have produced a flyer targeted towards LAs and PCTs that may be interested in submitting a bid for this funding, highlighting the work we do within 'healthy, active learning communities'. You can download a pdf of the flyer here.

Please forward this flyer and details of the Healthy Community Challange Fund to your relevant contacts within LAs and PCTs.
