Hot news! for September 2008

Schools ETC Awards

The Schools ETC Awards are an opportunity to win £2,000 (first prize) or £1,000 (second prize) for your school or organisation - that includes breakfast clubs!

The theme for this year's awards is Enjoy and Achieve: putting the smile back into the learning community. Judges will be looking for schools or organisations that offer activities providing the all-important 'spark' which inspires children and young people to learn. It's the kind of spark we all know breakfast clubs can ignite - whether through fun activities, a safe place to play, or a chance to work on an extra-curricular project before the bell rings.

The deadline for applications has now been extended to 21 October; you can download the entry form, which includes a full list of entry criteria, through the ContinYou website or by emailing: tom.sheppard@continyou.org.uk. The award is open to members of the ETC network - to find out how to join, visit the ContinYou website (www.continyou.org.uk/schoolsetc) or contact Graham Harvey on 024 7658 8469.
