Northern Ireland

In Northern Ireland, ContinYou has worked in partnership with the Department of Education since 2000 to support out-of-school-hours learning (oshl) and the development of extended schools. ContinYou is eager to build on this experience and broaden our work in Northern Ireland.

New! Read the speech by Robson Davison that he gave during ContinYou's annual conference in March 2008.

Read about our Northern Ireland programmes, download some resources for Northern Ireland, and take a look at some case studies of good practice from Northern Ireland schools and organisations.

Schools from Northern Ireland feature regularly in our UK-wide publication, Schools ETC, which is available on subscription.

Key achievements in Northern Ireland include:

  • supporting approximately 150 schools, clubs, and Education Library Boards in making funding bids, providing fundraising training and raising awareness of oshl
  • running Northern Ireland's national conference on oshl
  • co-ordinating the oshl steering group.
