Our projects
The NRC works with a range of partners to deliver projects that make a real difference to communities, families children and young people on the ground.
Current projects
We are currently working in:
- Coventry – we provide the city wide supplementary schools service. Read more about our work in Coventry.
- Lewisham – we are delivering a Connecting Communities Plus funded project to provide supplementary schools coordination and support, and to facilitate partnership between mainstream and supplementary schools. Read more about our work in Lewisham.
- Barnet – we are researching the profile and needs of the supplementary school sector in the London Borough of Barnet with funding from the local Children’s Fund. Read more about our work in Barnet.
- Ealing – as partners in an Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF) funded programme to tackle educational underachievement and low attainment on two housing estates in the north of the borough. Read more about our work in Ealing.

Our campaigns
Over the course of the year we will be running a number of campaigns around supplementary education and schooling, and we’d love to hear from you if there are issues you think we should be taking up.
We intend as a matter of course to campaign for:
- Better Funding
- Free access to mainstream schools for supplementary schools
- Designated supplementary schools coordinators in every local authority area with more than 10 supplementary schools
If you can help with these campaigns, please get in touch.
