Make a pledge to support oshl 2010

By making this pledge, you are committing yourself and your organisation to supporting the following oshl 2010 vision:

We will work together in partnership, as schools, local authorities and partner organisations, to ensure that by 2010:

  1. all young people have experienced a wide range of out-of-school-hours learning experiences and opportunities, including community focused activities and one or more residential visits
  2. a strong case is made nationally for out-of-school-hours learning, so there is widespread appreciation of the unique contribution these experiences make to young people's lives
  3. there is a range of organisations offering out-of-school-hours learning experiences of agreed quality and breadth that take account of young people’s voices
  4. there are sufficient training and professional development opportunities available for all people working to deliver these activities
  5. all organisations and individuals manage out-of-school-hours learning opportunities safely and efficiently, and recognise the involvement and achievement of young people
  6. there is easy access to information, knowledge, expertise, guidance and resources on out-of-school-hours learning
  7. parents, carers and the wider community are aware of, and engaged with, out-of-school-hours learning.
