Training and consultancy services for schools

ContinYou can help schools that are developing their involvement in the community in a number of ways:

  • auditing their present activities to provide a baseline for further development
  • helping to draft an overall school development plan from which the application for community status will evolve, and ensuring that the community plan is not 'bolt on', but is integral to the whole bid
  • interviewing partners and prospective partners about their possible contribution.
  • consulting on behalf of the school about proposals
  • identifying the school's contribution to other strategies, such as lifelong learning or neighbourhood renewal
  • providing training for groups of teaching staff, non-teaching staff, governors and parents.

To support extended schools in England, ContinYou offers a range of services in your local authority, school, organisation or region. Services include:

  • awareness-raising seminars and workshops
  • materials, toolkits and know-how events
  • a new self-evaluation framework for extended schools.
