Bright sparks: A good practice guide

Description:

CEDC's Bright Sparks project focuses on easing the transition from primary to secondary school by involving Year 6 and Year 7 pupils in a variety of structured learning activities during twilight study support time. The benefits include an increase in pupils? confidence, the opportunity to extend learning, raised standards in schools and skills development in a variety of curriculum areas. This guide is intended to help those wanting to set up their own Bright Sparks programme in partnership with other schools. It highlights a range of issues specific to study support schemes and describes a number of creative activities which have been used by Bright Sparks clubs around the country.
