Our work in Wales
ContinYou Cymru provides a wide range of programmes, projects, training, support, resources and events which are either:
- supported by specific funding which means that we can provide services free or at subsidised rates; or
- not supported by specific funding so we have to make charges for the services we provide.
Our areas of work include:
Community Focused Schools: supporting the development of Community Focused Schools across Wales through our Supporting Community Focused Schools (SCFS) Service (funded by the Welsh Assembly Government).
Out-of-school-hours learning (oshl): supporting the development of oshl across Wales, as part of our SCFS Service.
Pyramid clubs: information about Pyramid Clubs which support children in developing their self-confidence and building friendships (funded by the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) and the Welsh Assembly Government).
Breakfast clubs: supporting the development of breakfast clubs in Wales through our Breakfast Club Plus is a programme run by ContinYou and funded by Kellogg's.
CânSing: a two year project funded by the Welsh Assembly Government to give young children more opportunities to sing at school, both as part of activities within the curriculum as well as out of lesson time.
Other funded projects: find out more about our other funded work which includes Volunteering for Active Communities (funded by the WCVA) and Bike Club (funded by ASDA).
Resources: access a range of downloadable materials and resources developed by ContinYou Cymru which support our areas of work and are aimed at improving the learning and wellbeing of children and young people, families and communities in Wales.
Training and support packages: We also provide a range of other programmes and services at a charge (these may be provided free or at subsidised rates for those who are eligible under our funded work).
