What’s so special about Pyramid clubs?
- They are run by a minimum of three specially trained club leaders.
- They take place after school for ten weeks.
- Each session lasts about one and a half hours.
- The clubs are free.
- They are lots of fun – activities include cooking, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games and active play.
- The clubs are only open to children chosen by the school or other provider.
Do they work?
Yes! Independent evaluation and research shows that children who attend Pyramid clubs become more confident and outgoing. Through being in a small, safe group environment they find it easier to make new friends, and become happier and more confident – and therefore enjoy school more and find it easier to learn.
Visit the Pyramid home page on the ContinYou website for more general information.
Pyramid for Parents
The Pyramid for Parents group-work programme has been specially developed to enhance parents’ skills and understanding of how to support their child's emotional well-being. These groups provide an opportunity for parents to get together and share experiences, to support each other and to enhance their relationship with their child. Contact us to find out more or to discuss running Pyramid for Parents in your area.
