What we do

ContinYou uses learning to tackle inequality and build social inclusion. We work to bring new opportunities for learning to people of all ages, especially those who have gained least from formal education and training.

We work closely with other organisations to make existing practice and services more responsive to the needs of the most vulnerable groups of people. We also develop innovative projects that enable:

  • individuals of all ages to acquire new skills and knowledge
  • families to learn together
  • practitioners to reach out more effectively to the most vulnerable groups.

We use our extensive national networks at government level to influence policy direction and strategic planning, and bring a thorough knowledge of grassroots work to the policy-making arena.

ContinYou’s work encompasses extended services in schools, family learning, parental support, out-of-school-hours learning, health improvement and health literacy, supporting young people, working with schools and communities, supplementary schools and community regeneration. In addition, we run an MA course in Leading Community Learning.
