Children and young people
ContinYou provides a range of programmes to support children’s and young people’s learning. We aim to help schools improve the attainments and aspirations of pupils and communities by extending the services they offer in and around the school. We provide information, advice, training and resources, including our subscription service Schools ETC.
We work to support the development of study support and out-of-school-hours learning opportunities, including reading, maths and cookery clubs, sports activities and breakfast clubs.
The National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education (NRC), which is part of ContinYou, offers support to those running supplementary and complementary education throughout England, through providing information, advice and training. The NRC has developed a quality framework for supplementary education. It seeks to raise the profile of supplementary schools, and to enable them to build partnerships with mainstream schools and to secure funds to support their work.
ContinYou works to promote the emotional well-being of children and young people, through Pyramid after-school clubs. We also encourage young people to contribute to their schools and communities by taking part in volunteering opportunities and decision-making processes.
