Extra Time Mini Guides

This section of the ‘Study Support ETC’ resource contains a series of free downloadable bite-sized guides – designed to provide support, guidance, ideas and resources to help you set up and run a range of successful study support/oshl clubs.

Many of the ideas contained within the mini guides can also be adapted for use within formal curriculum time.

Each Extra Time Mini Guide contains:

  • tried and tested ideas – all of which can be adapted to suit the age and abilities of the pupils you are working with
  • case studies – showcasing examples of good practice within study support/oshl clubs
  • top tips – for engaging pupils, making your club different from the classroom, and so on
  • an essential checklist – questions for you to consider when you are planning your club
  • useful resources – key publications and websites.

Download the Mini Guides below. These have all been updated in 2007/08.
