Welcome to Share!

Share is a great way for families with children aged 3 to 13 years to share time together and have fun. Share can be run in many settings, including schools, nurseries, community centres, libraries, museums and more.

Share is run in Children’s Trusts, local authorities (LAs), EiC (Excellence in Cities) areas, Education Business Partnerships, within groups of schools, in Sure Starts, EYDCP's and other agencies and settings that work with carers of looked after children. At present, Share is offered over 2,000 settings across the UK, including 104 local authorities.

Share can only be delivered by a trained Share facilitator.

Share aims to:

  • improve the educational attainment and achievement of children.
  • motivate parents to take an active interest in their children's education.
  • increase parents' understanding of the vital role they play in their children's learning.
  • enable parents to gain accreditation for what they learn as they support their children's learning.
  • develop effective management and organisation of parental involvement in schools/settings.

Share does all this through sessions with a trained facilitator and activities that families can take home to complete.
