Record progress and achievement
Code of Practice Statement: Keep a record of what pupils have learnt, celebrate what they have achieved and, with their and their parents’ permission, pass on information about what they have learnt to other schools and organisations.
GOLD STANDARD: Teachers assess and record children’s needs, progress and performance.
Note: Needs, progress and performance need to be evidenced.
You may wish to include:
- baseline information on pupils to identify needs
- schemes/programme of work and three lesson plans
- assessment records, test results
- report cards with past and present grades showing progress
- handbook for staff and volunteers (dates of assessments, parent evenings, sample reports)
- once or two annual reports, newsletters or school magazine (pupil achievements).
