ContinYou - Changing lives through learning
ContinYou is one of the UK's leading education charities. We believe that every child and young person must have an education that enables them to develop to their full potential.

Open training

The NRC can provide training anywhere in England. We have a programme of open training in some locations – see below - but we are happy to work with you to organise training to meet local need in your county or borough. Please get in touch with us by email training.admin@continyou.org.uk to discuss your training needs.

All of our courses are available for local authorities or clusters of schools to buy in. More information about in-house training, including details of additional courses not included in our open training, is also available.

Costs

The Department for Education subsidy that enabled us to offer training free of charge to supplementary schools has ended and we are now obliged to charge for all of our courses. We have kept the price as low as possible and there are additional discounts for community-led supplementary schools. Please note, to book your place payment is required before the course.

  • fee for one-day course, including resources - £75 per person
  • NRC member supplementary schools - £25 per person

Bookings

To book a course, please download the booking form and follow the instructions inside:

To secure your place we will need a cheque or online payment for the required amount. You will receive an email to confirm your booking and details of the venue. If you do not receive an email, please call 024 7658 8441 to check that we've received your booking form.

We can only run a course with a minimum number of participants. If we do not meet the minimum of eight participants we will have to postpone or cancel the course. You will receive an email 48 hours prior to the course to confirm it is going ahead.

All courses run from 10am to 3.30pm (except for Introduction to the Quality Framework).

New training

In the past the majority of the training has been aimed at the management of supplementary schools. 2012 sees a change with many new courses being added which are aimed at (unqualified) teachers.

Visit the mentor page to find out more, including training dates and learning outcomes.
